[Watch] Virat Kohli Celebrates With Punjabi Dance Alongside Arshdeep Singh After T20 WC Victory

It’s celebration time for Team India! After enduring an 11-year drought without an ICC trophy, India has finally won the T20 World Cup, defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the final.

The past decade has been challenging for the Indian team during the Kohli-Rohit-Bumrah era. Since India's Champions Trophy win in 2013, India had not won another ICC trophy until now. 

India clinch second T20 WC title

India faced disappointments in T20 World Cup final loss in 2014, an ODI World Cup final defeat in 2023, a Champions Trophy final loss in 2017, and two WTC Test Championship finals, along with several semi-final exits in this period.

However, this period of hardship has ended with India now crowned champions in the shortest format. With this victory, India joins England and the West Indies with two T20 World Cup titles each. 

The golden generation of Indian cricket, which had been missing a major title, can now celebrate as Rohit Sharma’s team brings home the coveted trophy. 

After winning the title, both Virat and Rohit had retired from this format.

Virat Kohli was spotted dancing the Punjabi dance with Arshdeep Singh, while Siraj and Axar Patel were also seen joining in the celebration in the background. This victory means a great deal to these players.

 Apart from Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja, none of the other players had previously won an ICC trophy.  Even for Virat Kohli and Jadeja this is the first T20 World Cup they're winning.
