Amidst the nationwide celebrations, actress Anushka Sharma shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, revealing that her daughter Vamika was concerned about the Team India members.

The final, played in a packed stadium filled with fans from all over the globe, was a tense encounter. Virat Kohli, a cornerstone of the Indian team for over a decade, looked determined in his last T20 game. Kohli's masterful innings of 76 runs from 59 balls was pivotal in guiding Team India to a nail-biting victory over South Africa in the final-over thriller.

Earlier, a viral video captured Kohli on a video call with Anushka Sharma and their children, Vamika and Akaay, who were unable to attend the game. During the call, he sent flying kisses and struck playful poses, showcasing his affection for his family. He proudly displayed his medal and the Indian flag during the call.

After the match, Kohli made an emotional announcement that he would be retiring from T20Is for India.

Kohli, who made his T20I debut in 2010. went on to play 125 T20Is. He scored 4,188 runs, including one century and 38 half-centuries. His hunger for runs and passion for the game made him the second-highest run-scorer in T20Is, just behind his skipper Rohit Sharma. He concludes his T20I career on a winning note.
