India reached their 3rd T20 World Cup final on Thursday when they handed England a 68-runs defeat to set up a final against South Africa on Saturday, June 29 at the Kensington Oval, Barbados.

It was a near-perfect game for the Men in Blue in the bowling & fielding department, as they defended a total of 171 runs on the board. The spin duo of Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav took six wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah added two to his tally. 

The fielders were also on point as they produced two crucial run-outs. After the match, India's fielding coach, T Dilip, handed the 'best fielder' medal to Rishabh Pant, who took the only catch of the match as other modes of dismissals were either bowled, LBW or Stumping.

Talking about Pant, besides Jos Buttler's catch, the southpaw also produced a clever stumping in the 8th over to get rid of Moeen Ali. As a part of the tradition being followed in this World Cup, T Dilip invited Indian veteran Dinesh Karthik to the dressing room to present the medal to the DC captain. 

BCCI took to social media platforms to post the video of Karthik presenting the medal to Pant.

It is the 2nd time in this tournament that Pant has received this medal, the joint-most for any Indian in T20 World Cup 2024 alongside Mohammed Siraj.
