Rishabh Pant showcased his exceptional wicket-keeping skills in the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal against England at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 28. Drawing inspiration from his mentor, MS Dhoni, Pant executed a crucial stumping that sent Moeen Ali back to the pavilion.

India set a target of 172 for England, and during their defense, the Indian bowlers made early inroads. Axar Patel was instrumental in this effort, taking two wickets in his first two overs and providing a strong start for India.

In the eighth over, Axar struck again, delivering a good-length ball on the pads that Moeen Ali missed while attempting a flick shot.

Pant's quick reflexes came into play as the ball rolled in front of him. Moeen Ali, unaware of the ball's location, stepped out of his crease. Pant swiftly grabbed the ball and removed the stumps before Moeen could react.

Moeen's bat was still in the air when the bails were dislodged, leading to his dismissal. This brilliant piece of glovework from Pant showcased his alertness and agility behind the stumps.

At this point, England faced a challenging task with their top order back in the pavilion, thanks to India's disciplined bowling and Pant's sharp wicket-keeping.
