Smriti Mandhana Smashes Her 2nd Test Century; Scores 3rd Hundred In Last Four Games

In the ongoing one-off Test match between India & South Africa at the Chepauk Stadium in Chennai, Smriti Mandhana extended her golden form as she smashed her second Test century.
On day 1 of the only Test, Mandhana, who opened the innings with Shafali Verma, brought up her century in 122 balls, which featured 20 fours. The left-hand batter is having a dream run as she scored two consecutive centuries against South Africa in the first two ODIs and got out in the 90s in the 3rd game.
It is also her first Test century against South Africa, as her maiden hundred in red-ball format came against Australia.
Talking about the match, India are in a comfortable position in the game, as Mandhana along with Shafali, at the time of writing this article, has already stitched a 216-runs unbeaten stand for the first wicket, which is the highest partnership for India in Test cricket for 1st wicket in women's cricket. Also, Shafali scored her maiden Test century.
Further, Mandhana became the first Indian women cricketer to score a hundred both home as well as away in both Tests & ODIs. BCCI women also posted a video of Mandhana celebrating her century.

It is just Mandhana's seventh Test game and she averages 59.10 which includes two centuries and three fifty-plus scores.
