Despite losing the last T20I, the Indian squad exuded confidence as they made a stylish arrival in Johannesburg ahead of the crucial third T20I against South Africa at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg on December 14.
Following a setback in the second T20I, where India faced a five-wicket defeat against South Africa at St. George’s Park, the players seemed undeterred. The bowlers struggled to defend a target of 152 runs in 15 overs, placing the visitors at a disadvantage.
Despite a tilt in India’s favoUr due to a target adjustment to 181 runs in 20 overs, the absence of key fast bowlers put the team on the defensive, resulting in a comfortable win for the home side.

In anticipation of the series-deciding match, the BCCI shared a video capturing the Indian team's arrival in Johannesburg. Despite the recent defeat, the players appeared relaxed and composed.
Notably, the Indian team, even without some prominent names, showcased an exceptional performance against Australia at home. Their aim is to replicate that success in the final T20I against South Africa, seeking to level the series at 1-1.
The series opener against South Africa faced disappointment with incessant rain causing a washout, preventing the toss and leaving fans and teams disappointed. The second match favored South Africa, setting the stage for the decisive third encounter at Wanderers.
As India revisits their strategy at Wanderers Stadium, bowlers like Mohammad Siraj and Mukesh Kumar, known for their impressive pace, will play a crucial role. Siraj's ability to swing the new ball adds a valuable dimension to the bowling attack. However, challenges arose with Arshdeep leaking runs, making it tougher for India to defend the target, especially on a wet outfield.
