In the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2023, Haryana have scripted history, reaching the finals of the tournament by beating Tamil Nadu in the Semifinals. With the likes of Harshal Patel, Rahul Tewatia and the captain Ashok Menaria, they have managed to seal a spot in the final and will be facing the winners of the Rajasthan-Karnataka game.

The winning streak for Haryana continues, as they are still the unbeaten team in the tournament despite reaching the finals. Ashok Menaria-led group have dominated by winning comprehensively by a margin of 63 runs against one of the most successful teams of domestic cricket, Tamil Nadu to claim a well-deserving spot in the final.

While batting first at the Saurashtra Cricket Stadium, Haryana posted an above-par total of 293 runs, as Himanshu Rana scored a ton in the big semifinal. Tamil Nadu never looked comfortable while chasing as they lost two early wickets and could not recover from that. 

The captain Dinesh Karthik and Baba Indrajith stitched a partnership until Harshal Patel stunned the former with a bouncer, which not only broke the partnership but also the last hope for the Tamil Nadu team. Anshul Kamboj led Haryana's bowling attack with his brilliant bowling and ended up taking four wickets.

The stage is all set for the Haryana team to win their first-ever Vijay Hazare Trophy title, as they have reached the finals and just need the one last push to lift the trophy. They have the talent, they have players in form, and it cannot get better and bigger than this they face the winners of the second semifinal on the 16th of December.
