On Wednesday, December 13, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma shared a brief yet touching message for his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, on their wedding anniversary. Taking to social media, Rohit expressed his joy in celebrating the 'best partnership' with Ritika.

Ritika, initially Rohit's manager, became the love of the Indian cricketer's life. Following years of dating, Rohit and Ritika exchanged proposals at the Borivali Sports Club, a place that marked the beginning of Rohit's cricketing journey at the age of 11.

The couple tied the knot in Mumbai on this very day in 2015. Ritika has stood as a strong pillar of support for the star batter through various ups and downs, consistently backing him in international matches and the IPL.

To commemorate their eighth anniversary, Rohit shared a special post on social media, featuring several pictures with Ritika. The caption on the Instagram post read,

"Fingers crossed, best partnership for life."

Ritika reciprocated the sentiment, posting snapshots with a touching message, expressing gratitude for Rohit being her best friend, comedian, favorite human, and home.

"To the boy who changed my life from the day he walked into it. Thank you for being my best friend, my comedian, my favourite human, and my home. Life with you is nothing short of magical. Love you.”

December 13 holds dual significance for Rohit. Besides being their wedding anniversary, it marks the day in 2017 when he achieved his third ODI double hundred. In a match against Sri Lanka in Mohali, Team India, captained by Rohit, opted to bat first after losing the toss.

The right-handed batter's exceptional performance left Sri Lanka regretting their decision as Rohit scored an unbeaten 208 off just 153 balls. Ritika, present at the stadium, couldn't contain her emotions during the opener's remarkable innings, shedding a few tears of joy.

Following India's loss in the 2023 World Cup final, Rohit is presently on a cricket hiatus. He is scheduled to make his return, leading India in the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa.
