Chennai Super Kings sensation Shivam Dube recently visited the Vellore Institute of Technology, Tamil Nadu, where he found himself surrounded by CSK team fans. The 30-year-old batting all-rounder was invited to the college as a guest for an event.

As soon as Shivam Dube came to address the students, the crowd began to chant ‘CSK CSK’ while cheering for their Home team ahead of the 17th season of the Indian Premier League 2024.

Immediately replying to the overjoyed crowd, Dube said ‘Definitely the Chennai Super Kings is coming stronger this year.’ Shivam’s statement instantly got the crowd to cheer even louder making the batsman feel immensely grateful for their support.

As soon as Shivam Dube talked about the comeback of the defending champions in IPL 2024, the crowd began to chant the name of the most successful captain in the tournament, the captain of Chennai Super Kings, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. 

Dube once again addressed the crowd and assured them that he would convey to the team’s leader about the fans' excitement. 

Shivam Dube will once again pad up for Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2024 after a successful season in IPL 2023. Dube gained mass recognition in the previous season of the tournament as he became one of the top six hitters in the 2023 season.

The middle-order batsman scored 363 runs in the IPL 2023. Shivam recently showcased his batting prowess against Afghanistan after he scored two unbeaten half-centuries.

Chennai Super Kings will play their first match of IPL 2024 against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener on 22 March at their home ground, the M Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. It will be interesting to see how the CSK team management will ploy Shivam Dube after his success in the previous season after the addition of new players like Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell to the team.
