CSK Vs RCB To Kick Off IPL 2024 On March 22

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will take on each other to kick off the proceedings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on March 22. Therefore, ardent fans will witness Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni – two of the stalwarts of Indian cricket – will face off to begin the upcoming edition of the world’s biggest franchise league.

M. A. Chidambaram Stadium will host the curtain-raiser of the tournament between the defending champions and the Virat Kohli-starred side. 

While MS Dhoni, the immortal, has helped the Yellow Army to win the title a record-extending five times, Faf du Plessis, the newest skipper of the Red and Gold Brigade is still in search of their first elusive success.

IPL 2024 Schedule: Till 7 April

After the CSK and RCB clash, there will be a doubleheader on March 23, with Punjab Kings (PBKS) taking on Delhi Capitals (DC) in the afternoon clash in Mohali. Kolkata Knight Riders will play Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Eden Gardens later in the evening.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals will begin the campaign on March 24 by taking on Lucknow Super Giants. A day later, Mumbai Indians, the side which will have a new captain in Hardik Pandya, will face his former franchise Gujarat Titans at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Notably, the full schedule is still not out due to the Lok Sabha elections in India. Once the election dates are out, it will be easier for the BCCI to announce the remainder of the IPL 2024 schedule.
