Indian cricketer Virat Kohli turned an ordinary training session into a memorable experience for young net bowlers during his practice stint in Alibaug. This came as Virat Kohli geared up for his return to domestic cricket in the upcoming Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Kohli took time to interact with young net bowlers, pose for photographs and sign autographs, creating lifetime memories for them.

One of the net bowlers was Ritwick Pathak, a young fast bowler from Jharkhand, who later shared a video on Instagram that quickly caught the attention of many. In the clip, Kohli can be seen signing the back of Pathak’s iPhone while the bowler recorded the moment using the phone’s rear camera.
“The phone might not last forever but the video shall remain,” Pathak wrote as caption that won hearts of fans online.
Kohli also posed for photographs with the budding cricketer and, acknowledged the effort and support during the training sessions over the weekend.
Reflecting on the experience, Pathak added that bowling hard and fast to Kohli for three consecutive days was something he would cherish forever.
Pathak, who has been steadily making progress with his game, was also part of the Mumbai Indians setup as a net bowler during IPL 2025.
Bowling to top international players has helped sharpen his skills, and getting the chance to bowl to Kohli was clearly a highlight of his journey so far.
Kohli trains hard ahead of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26
Kohli has been training in Alibaug ahead of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, where he has been named in Delhi’s squad. The 37-year-old is expected to play at least two matches in the tournament, which begins on December 24 with Delhi’s matches set to take place in Bengaluru.
While the exact fixtures are yet to be confirmed, Kohli’s presence for Delhi has already added excitement for fans and young cricketers. With the Indian team to be in action in ODIs against New Zealand on January 11, supporters are thrilled to see Kohli in domestic cricket.
