Thailand Women legends Nattaya Boochatham and Rosenan Kanoh both simultaneously confirmed their retirements from international cricket. The two cricketers made the call shortly after Thailand’s comprehensive SEA Games Women’s T20I 2025 win in Bangkok.
Nattaya Boochatham, aged 39, played 13 ODIs and 116 T20Is in her glittering international career for Thailand. Meanwhile, Rosenan Kanoh brought down curtains on her career after securing nine ODI and 49 T20I caps. Remarkably, Kanoh decided to step away from the game at the age of just 26.
Legendary Thailand bowler Nattaya Boochatham bids adieu to the game
Nattaya Boochatham has confirmed that Thailand Women’s recent SEA Games Women’s T20I final against Malaysia was her last outing in international cricket. She will conclude her career as one of the greats of Thailand cricket, fittingly capping her journey with a gold medal at the SEA Games podium.
Apart from being one of only five Thailand Women players to aggregate over 1,000 runs in T20I cricket, Nattaya Boochatham is also her country’s second most successful bowler with 126 wickets in just 99 bowling innings. Moreover, the 39-year-old is also one of the leading wicket-takers of the women’s T20I game overall, and is currently ranked eighth on the all-time list, ahead of even Ellyse Perry.
Rosenan Kanoh, aged just 26, also called time on her international career. She played a decisive role for Thailand Women in the SEA Games final against Malaysia, unfurling 21* handy unbeaten runs from just 15 balls after her side had slipped to a troublesome 19-3 inside the powerplay. She notched up the winning runs in the game, doing so with a single in the tenth over of the run-chase as Thailand completed a seven-wicket routing of Malaysia.
Rosenan Kanoh will conclude her career with 319 international runs from 43 innings across both formats.
With the simultaneous retirements of Nattaya Boochatham and Kanoh, the Thailand Women’s team will now march into the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Nepal next month.
