During the Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Nepal in Pallekele, former India captain Virat Kohli revealed his current favorite cricketer, naming England Test skipper Ben Stokes as his top choice. Kohli expressed his admiration for Stokes during an interview with Star Sports.

“Ben Stokes is my favourite current cricketer (smiles),” Kohli told to Star Sports.

During Match 5 of the 2023 Asia Cup against Nepal on Monday, Kohli, known for his exceptional fielding abilities, showcased his talent by effortlessly grabbing a remarkable one-handed catch.

This catch was not only visually impressive but also held significant significance as it represented Kohli's 100th catch in multi-nation tournaments. Notably, he became only the second Indian, apart from Mohammad Azharuddin, to reach this milestone without being a wicketkeeper.

In the match itself, Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj were standout performers for India, each claiming three wickets. However, Aasif Sheikh and Sompal Kami displayed remarkable resilience for Nepal, steering their team to a competitive total of 230 runs against the Men in Blue.

India's fielding also left much to be desired, with three catches dropped within the first five overs and numerous misfields throughout the innings.

In terms of individual performances, Jadeja shone with his figures of 3-40, while Siraj claimed an equal number of wickets but conceded 61 runs in his 9.2 overs. Mohammed Shami, Hardik Pandya, and Shardul Thakur managed to pick up one wicket each, while Kuldeep Yadav bowled economically, giving away only 34 runs in his ten overs.
