'Get Out There, Kick Some Butt' - Ravi Shastri Backs India After WC Squad Announcement

Former Indian cricketer and Head Coach Ravi Shastri has extended his best wishes and good luck to the Indian Squad for the World Cup 2023. On Tuesday afternoon, he took to Twitter to send his best regards to the team.

The cricketer-turned-commentator gave his opinion on the picked team. Must like his booming voice from the commentary box, he excelled in joy saying it an"Excellent team picked."  

He further encouraged and called all the cricket fans in India to get behind these players. They will lead us to that ultimate glory. He further added winning and losing are part and parcel of the game. More than anything else, he advised go out there and enjoy yourselves out in the middle. 

He showed his respect towards the country and asked players to play for the Tiranga. His statement follows:

"Excellent team picked. Come on Guys get out there and kick some butt. Win. Lose. Part and Parcel. Bottom line. ENJOY. Respect [Indian Flag]."


Shastri four years back was on with the Indian side. He along with the then India skipper Virat Kohli flew down to the UK for the World Cup with the back of a strong side, but they had to settle for a heartbreaking semifinal loss against New Zealand. 

Meanwhile, BCCI has announced an expected squad for the CWC. All the squad members from the Asia Cup have been selected except Tilak Verma, Praisdh Krishna and stand-by Sanju Samson. India will take on Australia in their first-ever match of this World Cup.
