BCCI and PCB are in a cold war over the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 as the Roger Binny-led board is unlikely to give clearance to team India to travel to Pakistan for the elite fifty-over tournament next year.

India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series since 2012 because of the political tensions between the two countries. Meanwhile, Pakistan are set to host the Champions Trophy next year and wants India to travel there.

Recently, BCCI expressed their desire to have a hybrid model and pitched the idea to play India games in Dubai or Sri Lanka. In the latest events, there are reports that ICC is planning to make UAE co-hosts.

Since India are unlikely to travel to Pakistan, ICC is mulling to keep India games in UAE. Further, the reports from Free Press Journal also mentioned that the International Cricket Council will also arrange special charted flights for teams travelling from Pakistan to UAE.

One of the 2 semifinals and the final is also likely to be shifted out of Pakistan. However, if India fails to reach the semis or finals, then the knock-out stage might not move out of Pakistan.

However, BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla recently denied any such claims of India not travelling to Pakistan.
