Abdul Razzaq was one of the finest all-rounders during his playing days and was a match-winner in true sense for Pakistan. His tenure as a selector was expected to produce similar results as well, but Babar Azam-led Pakistan crashed out in the group stage of T20 World Cup 2024, and it has led to a widespread criticism from all corners.

PCB then moved to action and has removed the earlier selection commitee. Now Abdul Razzaq has also reacted on his sacking and took a hilarious dig at a volatile nature of PCB in Pakistan TV show.

When asked about his removal as selector, he sarcastically replied in Hindi that he has received the termination later. He also explained that the decision to select the team was a collective one of seven-member committee and one person cannot change the collective decision.

"Letter aaya hai termination ka (received termination letter). How can I sway the other selectors while selecting the team?" 

PCB have now announced a new four-member selection commitee which comprises of head coach, captain, Mohammed Yousuf and Asad Shafiq, and it would be interesting to see hown Pakistan cricket shapes up after the debacle of T20 World Cup 2024.
