As per emerging reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) hasn't yet demanded a hybrid model for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan.

According to several prominent journalists from Pakistan, BCCI vice president Rajiv Shukla has dismissed reports that the Indian board is proposing a hybrid model for the marquee event.

As claimed by numerous journalists from the neighbouring nation, Rajiv Shukla clarified that the BCCI hasn't yet approached the ICC for the hybrid model, and any such report doing rounds is absolutely baseless.

"We do not know which source gave such information. BCCI has not put out any official information regarding this," he said.

After the Pakistan Cricket Board unveiled the tentative Champions Trophy 2025 schedule, several media outlets claimed that the BCCI wants the tournament to be conducted in a hybrid mode, with India's matches scheduled in either Dubai or Sri Lanka.

Some other reports even stated that the ICC might replace India with Sri Lanka if the Indian Government doesn't permit the men's team to travel to the neighbouring nation due to persistent political tension between the two countries.

As per the revealed schedule, Pakistan will face New Zealand in the tournament opener, with India locking horns against Bangladesh in their first game on February 20.
