'India Played Like...'- Younis Khan Reacts To Yuvraj And Co's WCL 2024 Final Win vs PAK Champions

On Saturday, July 13, India Champions beat Pakistan Champions in the finals of the World Championship Of Legends 2024 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. 

The Younis Khan-led side, batting first, put 156 runs on the board after 20 overs. In reply, India Champions chased down the target in 19.1 overs. Ambati Rayudu was the star with the bat as he scored 50 (30) and won the player of the match award for his performance.

With the win, the Yuvraj Singh-led side also avenged the defeat that they suffered against Pakistan Champions in the group stage match. After the defeat, Younis Khan is trending on social media platforms as fans are reminding him of the remarks he made after the group stage match.

Notably, when Pakistan Champions beat India Champions in the group stage, Khan had remarked, "We took the revenge by defeating India".

India had beat Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 group stage and Khan was referring to that game with 'Revenge' remark. 

In the latest events, Khan has heaped massive praise on India's Champions and stated that they are the true legends. 

"Congratulations to India, they played like true legends. They excelled in all three departments. Our game plan was to build a defendable total, but crucial partnerships are essential in finals. India formed the partnerships needed to chase down our score, something we failed to do, unlike in the semi-finals where we had strong partnerships."

During the tournament, Khan was involved in another controversy when he remarked the Pakistan Champions side are more fitter and the fans assumed it to be a dig at the Babar Azam-led side.
