The South London-based franchise Oval Invincibles will have a new captain for their women's team this season, with English player Lauren Winfield-Hill will lead the team this season. For their men's team, Sam Billings will continue to lead in the upcoming edition of The Hundred.

Lauren Winfield-Hill will replace Suzie Bates, who captained the team for a few games, including their 2022 championship final, and for the last five games in 2023.

Winfield-Hill, the all-time top scorer for the Oval Invincibles since joining in 2022, brings significant experience from over 100 national team games. However, she is not currently part of any Women's Premier League (WPL) team. She previously led the Northern Superchargers in 2021 in the 'The Hundred'.

Meanwhile, Sam Billings aims to retain the trophy for the men's team. No men's team has won The Hundred twice, and Billings, with his extensive experience, is keen to achieve this milestone. At the same time Oval Invincibles women team had won titles in 2021 and 2022.

The upcoming season of The Hundred is scheduled to begin on July 23rd, with eight teams participating.
