Unreal scenes have occurred at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur as Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma got off to a flyer and brought up a team fifty in just 18 balls. The duo break the world record for the fastest team fifty in Test cricket.

Notably, Bangladesh tumbled for 233 runs in their first innings on day 3 of the 2nd Test. Rain played a spoilsport in the ongoing match and wasted two days. Thus, in an attempt to fetch a favourable result from what looks like will end in a draw, the Indian batters came out to bat with a positive approach.

Rohit and Jaiswal brought up fifty in 18 balls, and despite the skipper's wicket, Jaiswal played his natural game, and eventually, India broke their own record to bring up the fastest team hundred in Test cricket history.

Netizens React To India's Solid Start

The fans were dancing on their seats and jumping in joy as they witnessed history. The internet too went into a frenzy and took to social media platforms to hail the aggressive approach by the Indian batters. The fans also hailed Gautam Gambhir's role in the change of intent and hailed the newly appointed head coach as well. Here are some of the reactions.

Dinesh Karthik Reflects On India's Flying Start

Former India spinner turned analyst Dinesh Karthik, who is lending his voice in the commentary box for the ongoing Test match also reflected on the blistering start and stated that it is 'Test cricket on steroids'.

"This is not just Test cricket. This is Test match on steroids," exclaimed Dinesh Karthik on air.
