The Australian superstar, David Warner, is having a decent time with the bat in the T20 World Cup 2024. He has scored 115 runs in three matches, including a half-century. He will be aiming to take his team to the summit clash of the tournament and then play a crucial role in helping them win the cricketing treble.

Meanwhile, Trent Copeland, the general manager of Sydney Thunder, has expressed his confidence that Warner will return for another season with the franchise, and the team will benefit from his presence.

The Southpaw made two appearances for the team in the last season after signing a high-worth deal and six in the 2022-23 season. He scored 149 runs in these eight outings at an average of 21.28.

As Warner has already retired from Test cricket, the team can be assured of seeing more of Warner during the season. However, he will have broadcasting commitments during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which will overlap with the first half of the BBL.

Copeland was heard saying - "Confidence scale high, process to be followed on that. He's a champion of the club, a long-standing member and hasn't really had the opportunities in his career to just live and breathe that for a full summer. So I'm really keen to make that happen." However, David Warner also has a deal with the Dubai Capitals in ILT20, and the tournament is scheduled to start in January of next year. That tournament is expected to overlap far more with the BBL.

Regarding being available for the Thunders, Warner said - "I definitely am keen to pursue playing Big Bash next year. There's going to be conversations behind the scenes to allow me to do that...

Obviously I've joined the Fox commentary team next year during the Test series against India, which I'm looking forward to. So I would like to play [the BBL] in and around the commentary stuff. I've just got to make sure that I'm, one, playing to the best of my ability and, two, not hindering the team's performances or upsetting the balance of the team." - Warner said ahead of his final Test.
