Australian openers David Warner and Travis Head got off to a dream start in the ongoing group-stage match against England as they went all guns blazing in the powerplay. 

After 4.5 overs, Australia already put 70 runs on the board and were looking to put a big score on the board before Moeen Ali got the first breakthrough for England. On the last ball of the 5th over, Ali's delivery kept low, and it rattled Warner's middle stump. Notably, Warner had already smashed a four and a six on the first two balls of Ali's over.

Warner amassed 39 (16), which featured 2 fours and four sixes. The left-hand batter is in top form as he also scored a fifty in the first match against Oman where Australia registered a 39-run win. 

This World Cup will be Warner's last for the Men in Yellow and he is making most of it. Talking about the ongoing match, at the time of writing this article, Australia are 125/2 after 12.3 overs and are heading for a big score. Meanwhile, England are looking for their first win of T20 World Cup 2024 as their opening game against Scotland was abandoned because of rain.
