Starc, Boland Skittle WI For 27 As Australia Win 3-0

Australia trashed West Indies by 176 runs in the third Test at Kingston to secure the three-match Test series 3-0. Resuming the innings on Day 3 at 99-6, Australia folded up for just 121 in 37 overs to task West Indies with a 204-run target. Shamar Joseph (4-34) and Alzarri Joseph (5-27) picked up two wickets each in the day to bag a four-fer and a five-wicket haul respectively in the process.

Chasing 204, the entire West Indies line-up got shot out for just 27 in 14.3 overs to record Test cricket’s second lowest total in history. Mitchell Starc snared career-best figures of 6-9, which included three in the opening over of the innings itself. Scott Boland (3-2) picked up three towards the very end of mop up the hosts’ tail.

Devdutt Padikkal Headlines Maharaja Trophy 2025 Auction

RCB star Devdutt Padikkal became the most expensive player of the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 2025 Auction. The 25-year-old cricketer was acquired by the Hubli Tigers franchise for a sum of ₹13.20 lakhs. Players like Abhinav Manohar, Manish Pandey, Vidwath Kaverappa and Vidyadhar Patil also went big at the bidding event.

Padikkal recently represented the RCB franchise during their triumphant IPL 2025 campaign. An injury, however, ruled him out of the business end of the tournament.

Liam Dawson Replaces Bashir As ENG Name 4th Test Squad

The England team management has named a 14-player squad for the upcoming fourth Test of the five-match series against India. Liam Dawson was called up to the Test side after a gap of eight years, doing so at an expense of an injured Shoaib Bashir. Ben Stokes will continue to lead the English team, and he will be accompanied by fellow star attractions like Joe Root, Harry Brook, Jofra Archer and Ben Duckett.

Schedule For Cricket LA Olympics 2028 Announced

The cricketing event of the LA Olympics 2028 will begin on July 12. Cricket last featured at the Summer Olympics back in 1900, making its upcoming presence in 2028 a return for the sport after a gap of 128 years. The group stage matches of the LA Olympics 2028 will be organised in two different phases, from July 12 to 18, and from July 22 to 28. The medal matches like semifinals, playoff and the final for both men and women will be played on July 20 and July 29.

ICC Announce Warm-Up Schedule Of Women’s World Cup 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the entire warm-up schedule of the upcoming 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in India and Sri Lanka. As per the itinerary, the warm-up fixtures will be staged between September 25 and September 28. The tournament itself will commence from September 30 onwards and will run until November 2.

Each of the eight competing teams of the competition, barring defending champions Australia, is scheduled to play two warm-up matches. Australia, on the other hand, will only feature in a single practice game.
