Pakistan's experienced pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has picked Virat Kohli's iconic 82* as the best-ever knock in international cricket. India's legendary batter Virat Kohli played the epic innings during his side's high-stakes clash against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.

In a recent interview with Star Sports, Shaheen Afridi revealed that Kohli's blistering knock is by far the best he has ever witnessed live on a cricket field. 

He also highlighted Kohli's batting prowess, remembering his famous six over long-on off Haris Rauf's bowling. 

“Virat Kohli’s 82 – I have never seen a better innings than that in my career. He is a Great player – That ball was Haris Rauf’s best ball, and he hit six straight down the ground was unbelievable," Afridi was quoted as saying by Cricket Times. 

Kohli's stunning knock helped India record a memorable victory over their arch-rivals in front of a jam-packed MCG crowd. 

Batting first, Pakistan posted a respectable total of 159 runs, riding on fighting fifties from Shan Masood and Iftikhar Ahmed. 

In reply, India had a disastrous start, losing the crucial wickets of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Axar Patel. 

However, Virat Kohli steadied the ship for the Men in Blue, forming a match-winning stand with ace all-rounder Hardik Pandya. 

Although Pandya got out in the final over, Kohli, the chase master, remained unbeaten to ensure India's nail-biting last-ball win.
