Legendary Indian cricketer and 'God Of Cricket' Sachin Tendulkar penned a heartfelt note on social media following Shikhar Dhawan's retirement from international cricket, paying tribute to the flamboyant opener who had been an integral part of India's cricketing success over the past decade.

Shikhar Dhawan, one of India's most reliable and explosive openers, announced his retirement from all international cricket earlier today in an emotional social media post.

He finishes his career as one of India's most successful openers, with over 8,000 international runs to his name. His consistency at the top of the order, especially in limited-overs cricket, led to immense success for Indian cricket during his tenure. 

However, for the longest time, he has been out of the national team due to inconsistency and lack of opportunities as a veteran. Hence, Dhawan decided to move on to seek alternate avenues elsewhere.
