Rohit Sharma, one of India’s greatest cricketers, received a special honour from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), a stand at the Wankhede Stadium has been named after him. Moreover, Rohit was also given the very first ticket to the “Rohit Sharma Stand” as a memento.
On May 16, MCA hosted a special event at the Wankhede Stadium to unveil a new stand named after Rohit. The former Indian Test captain had his parents and wife, Ritika, on the stage to do the honours, with his Mumbai Indians teammates cheering from the crowd.
Moreover, after the reveal of the stand, Rohit received another special gift from the MCA.

The MCA gifted former MI captain Rohit Sharma the first pass to his own stand at the Wankhede Stadium. The first ticket, numbered 162279, was issued for the upcoming IPL 2025 match between the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals on May 21.
This is a historic event in Rohit’s career as his life came full circle. From fighting to enter Wankhede Stadium to getting a stand named after him, Sharma’s story of success will be remembered for generations.
