The England and Wales Cricket Board has named the playing XI for the fourth Ashes Test against Australia, with two major changes. Jofra Archer has been ruled out of the remainder of the series due to a strain and has been replaced by Gus Atkinson. Ollie Pope has also been shown the exit, with Ashes debutant Jacob Bethell coming in to bat at No. 3.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma made solid comebacks with their star-studded hundreds in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26. The India stars lit up the domestic tournament with individual centuries for their respective sides, Delhi and Mumbai.
Rohit Sharma etched a glorious 155 off 94 balls against Sikkim, while Virat Kohli followed it up with a commanding 131 off 101 deliveries to chase down Andhra’s target of 299 runs.
Suryavanshi blitz helps Bihar rack record innings total in List A cricket
India’s batting prodigy, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, went berserk as he stunned the Vijay Hazare Trophy with a blistering 36-ball century to etch his name in the format’s cricket history. He became the second-fastest Indian to score a century in List A cricket.
His remarkable feat came against Arunachal Pradesh and also powered Bihar past the 500-run mark, as the team piled up a total of 574 runs, which now stands as the highest innings total in List A cricket history.
Jasprit Bumrah confirmed out of Vijay Hazare Trophy
In a recent development, the Gujarat Cricket Association has confirmed that Jasprit Bumrah will not be available for any matches in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26. Bumrah’s exemption comes despite the BCCI issuing a mandate requiring every Indian player to feature in at least two domestic matches when not on national duty.
However, the GCA clarified that Bumrah’s unavailability is due to workload management, as the pacer has been rested ahead of more important international tours and tournaments in the coming year.
PAK spinner Abrar Ahmed exits BPL 2025-26 season mysteriously
In a recent development, just days before the start of the Bangladesh Premier League 2025-26, Pakistan’s mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has unexpectedly withdrawn from the tournament, with no official reason provided.
A report from Geo Super has confirmed his exit, although Chattogram Royals, his franchise, have not released any formal statement regarding the decision. The BPL 2025–26 season is set to commence from December 26 onwards.
