PSL Suspended In India! FanCode Stops Live Streaming In A Retaliatory Move

In a diplomatic response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, sports streaming channel Fancode has suspended live streaming of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in India. Notably, India dealt a heavy blow on Tuesday afternoon when terrorists opened fire on tourists in Pahalgam, which resulted in 26 casualties. 

In a retaliatory move, Fancode, who was the digital streaming partner of PSL, has decided to stop the broadcasting with immediate effect. The app has also removed PSL-related videos and highlights of the completed games.

Fancode Takes A Bold Step Against PSL

Notably, the 10th edition of the PSL started on April 11 and will continue till May 18. For the first time in the league's history, they overlapped with IPL and struggled for broadcasting rights. However, the recent terror attack has resulted in complete suspension of broadcasting in India. Further, Sony Network, which is the broadcasting partners for the satellite TV,  are also likely to take a similar step.

IPL Boycott Call In India Trends On Social Media

After the attack, there is a wave of anger and protest among the citizens and there were cries of a boycott of the ongoing season of IPL. Amid this time of sadness, the fans weren't happy with the live coverage of the IPL, but the BCCI too took care of the situation and paid homage to the victims who lost their lives in this gruesome attack.

Notably, during the recent IPL match between Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad, both teams observed a minute-long silence and also the apex cricket board of India suspended, DJ, cheerleaders, and fireworks for the recently concluded match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
