Rohit Sharma Joins Virat Kohli; Becomes 2nd Indian To Reach 12000 T20 Runs

India skipper Rohit Sharma reached a massive milestone in Mumbai Indians' vs Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2025 match as the hitman became the 2nd Indian to reach 12000 T20 runs. Before the match, the hitman required just 12 more runs to join the elite club. 

Notably, Rohit is only the second Indian after Virat Kohli to score 12000 T20 runs. It was Hitman's 466th T20 match and he boasts a great record. The right-hand batter has average of 30.81 and has scored eight centuries.

Overall, Rohit is the eighth player overall to complete 12000 T20 runs and is the fifth fastest batter in the world to do so. Here is the complete list.

Rohit Sharma Hits Back To Back Fifties In IPL 2025

Rohit Sharma, who started the tournament on a negative note, found his form back since the Chennai Super Kings match and now has two back-to-back fifties. Against CSK, Rohit scored 76 (45) and scored a 35-ball fifty against SRH. It is worth noting that it was after nine years that Rohit has scored consecutive fifties in IPL. 

At the time of writing this article, Mumbai Indians are cruising towards a comfortable win and are 84/3 after 10.3 overs.
