Tonight, RCB will cross swords against RR in match 42 of the ongoing IPL 2025 season. The high-octane face-off is scheduled at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. 

RCB have been clinical across departments, claiming the fourth spot with five wins in eight matches. Meanwhile, RR are languishing at eighth in the IPL points table, with only two victories in as many appearances. 

As two star-studded lineups are set to collide, here are three top risky picks for the Dream11 fantasy contests. 

1. Phil Salt - RCB

Why would Phil Salt be a risky pick?

  • Recent form: England's explosive batter Phil Salt has recorded two consecutive low scores. In his last two IPL 2025 outings, Salt has managed only five runs, staying at the middle for only eight deliveries combined. 
  • Poor home record: Salt has accumulated only 55 runs across three innings at RCB's home venue - M. Chinnaswamy Stadium- in IPL 2025. 
  • Technical weakness: Added to that, Salt's vulnerability against movement makes him a risky pick, as Rajasthan Royals have Jofra Archer and Sandeep Sharma, who can swing the ball upfront.
