Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta has filed a legal case against her fellow co-directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia in a Chandigarh court. It is worth noting that the three of them are directors of KPH Dream Cricket Private Limited, the company that owns the popular Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise.

The trouble in Punjab Kings’ ownership paradise occurs at the time when the franchise reached its first-ever playoffs in over a decade, doing so in the ongoing IPL 2025 season under the charismatic leadership of Shreyas Iyer.

Preity Zinta moves court against fellow PBKS owners

As reported by IANS, PBKS co-owner Preity Zinta has filed a legal case against fellow directors Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia in a Chandigarh court. The report indicates that the Bollywood actress has challenged the legality of an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) that was organised last month on April 21.

She believes that the meeting was held without following the proper guidelines under the Companies Act, 2013. Preity Zinta has claimed that even though she initially objected to the meeting, Mohit Burman and Ness Wadia went ahead with the conference.

She has requested the company from organising any further board meetings without the presence of her as well as fellow director Karan Paul.

Despite facing management hurdles with fellow directors, Preity Zinta can constantly be seen supporting the Punjab Kings franchise from the stands in the IPL 2025 season.

Under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer, the team reached the playoffs alongside Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and RCB. Notably, the outcome marked Punjab Kings’ first playoffs performance since the 2014 edition of the tournament.

They will now face Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians on May 24 and May 26 respectively.
