Pant ridiculous six [Source: @IPL/x.com]
Throughout the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, Rishabh Pant has been a flop show and only racked up 135 runs in 12 matches prior to the clash Vs Gujarat Titans. Heading into the match, Pant was severely under-confident as LSG crashed out of the IPL playoffs.
Pant slams Rabada for no-look six
However, in a moment of brilliance with the bat, Pant showed the class he has and smacked an outrageous no-look six Vs Kagiso Rabada to stun Shubman Gill's team. He produced a mini cameo which was much-needed to get some confidence back ahead of international duties.
In the last over against Rabada, Pant moved to the leg side as the GT bowler followed him and bowled a length ball on the pads. The ball came in quickly as Pant swung his bat and flicked it nonchalantly over the deep backward square leg region as the bowler looked stunned silenced.
This was vintage Pant who was searching for form and added 16 runs inside 6 balls to finish the innings on a high.
Pant's not so great IPL season
LSG Owner, Sanjiv Goenka was optimistic when he decided to purchase Pant for a whopping 27 crore in the IPL mega auction. However, that optimism went down as Pant failed game after game and it also affected his captaincy.
His captaincy was also criticised as LSG failed to deliver the goods and the franchise crashed out of the playoff race. In 13 matches, Pant only accumulated 151 runs with an average of 13.73.
