Namibian pacer Ruben Trumpelmann made history in the T20 World Cup by becoming the first player to take two wickets in the first two balls of a T20I match. This remarkable achievement is unprecedented in T20 cricket.

In a thrilling game where Namibia defeated Oman in a super over, Trumpelmann's stunning performance came in the opening two balls of the innings, securing two wickets for Namibia. He got the wickets of opener Prajapati and Oman captain Aqib Ilyas for golden ducks.

This feat set a new record in T20 Internationals, a milestone never before reached in the 2633 matches prior to this one.

Trumpelmann finished his spell with impressive bowling figures, taking 4 wickets for just 21 runs, playing a crucial role in Namibia's victory.

In the 2021 T20 World Cup, Trumpelmann had a similarly remarkable achievement. In a game against Scotland, he took 3 wickets in a single over.

Namibia won in super over

In a thrilling encounter, Namibia won the toss and elected to bowl first. Trumpelmann's powerplay bowling put Oman under pressure, resulting in Oman being bowled out for 109 runs.

Namibia's chase was not easy either; they were slow and managed to tie the game after 20 overs. In the super over, Namibia scored 21 runs, while Oman could only manage 10 runs in response.

Namibia all-rounder David Wiese was named Player of the Match for his exceptional all-round performance. He took 3 wickets, scored crucial runs in the super over, and successfully defended 21 runs while bowling the super over.
