In a dramatic turn of events, the first-ever Super Over of the ongoing T20 World Cup was witnessed in the ongoing Namibia vs Oman encounter at the iconic Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados.

Batting first, Oman put up a meagre 109-run total as Ruben Trumpelmann and David Wiese rattled them with sensational bowling.

In response, Namibia posted an exactly same total as the game went into the Super Over. Mehran Khan emerged as the hero for Oman, with his incredible last over breathing life into this match.

Bowling his third over, Mehran had an outstanding start, castling the well-set Jan Frylinck in the first ball. Zen Green was the second one to bite the dust as Mehran trapped him plumb in front of the stumps.

After conceding three runs off his next three balls, the right-arm pacer bowled a full-length ball to finish his spell, with David Wiese failing to connect it.

However, Oman's keeper Naseem Khushi also failed to collect the ball behind the stumps. As a result, Wiese and Malan Kruger stole a bye single to level the scores.

However, Namibia put up a much improved batting performance in the Super over, with Wiese and Gerhard Erasmus smashing Bilal Khan for 21 runs.
