Gaikwad plays for Puneri Bappa in MPL (X)

Ruturaj Gaikwad shone for his team Puneri Bappa (PB) in the Maharashtra Premier League (MPL). 

Chasing a target of 196, Gaikwad came in to bat at number 6 and scored a quickfire 38 off 21 balls before being dismissed by his fellow CSK player Mukesh Choudhary.

Ruturaj Gaikwad is leading Puneri Bappa in the MPL. In the second game of the league, Gaikwad's Puneri Bappa faced off against Prashant Solanki's Eagle Nashik Titans (ENT). Batting first, ENT posted 195-6 in 20 overs. 

ENT's Ranjeet Nikam top-scored with a quick 65 off 34 balls, including 5 boundaries and 5 sixes, while Atharva Kale contributed with 37 runs off 26 balls.

In response, Puneri Bappa managed to score 188-9 in their 20 overs. Yash Kshirsagar and Ruturaj Gaikwad were the only batters who scored quickly, but their efforts were not enough to secure the win for PB.

Ruturaj Gaikwad batted deep for Puneri Bappa (PB) today. When he came to the crease, he needed to play some big shots and make quick runs, but Gaikwad showed his class with beautiful cricketing shots. 

In the IPL, Gaikwad usually bats as an opener or at number 3, known for using the powerplay overs to his advantage. 

However, today with PB, he demonstrated his skill batting deep in the order. Even though PB lost the game by a narrow margin, Gaikwad's form is promising.
