In the ongoing third match at Kensington Oval, Barbados, against Oman, Namibia's decision to bowl first proved highly effective, primarily due to the exceptional performance of left-arm seamer Ruben Trumpelmann. His incisive bowling had put Oman on the back foot right from the start.

The 26-year-old made an immediate impact for Namibia. On the first ball of the match, he bowled a pinpoint yorker that trapped Oman opener Kashyap Prajapati lbw for a golden duck. The very next ball, another superb yorker from Trumpelmann got Aqib Ilyas lbw, also for a duck.

His relentless bowling continued in his third over when Naseem Khushi attempted an aggressive shot but only managed to send the ball to Erasmus at mid-off, that resulted third wicket for the speedster in the match.

Trumpelmann returned in the 18th over to claim his fourth wicket. Bowling around the wicket, he delivered a good length ball outside off that nipped back sharply. Kaleemullah, shuffled across, was struck on the pad and, with no reviews left, was given out lbw.

Oman batter with significant contributions from Zeeshan Maqsood (22 runs 30 balls) and Khalid Kail (34 runs 39 balls) could provide some stability and Namibia stopped Oman at the score of 109/10.

This disciplined and incisive bowling from Namibia, spearheaded by Trumpelmann, ensured that Oman struggled to build momentum throughout their innings.
