In a significant development, there are reports that Pakistan's white-ball skipper Mohammad Rizwan is angry with the PCB and has also threatened to quit ODI captaincy over the lack of power. Things are not going well within the PCB camp and Rizwan is the latest to be at loggerhead with Pakistan cricket board.

Notably, according to report from IANS, Rizwan was unhappy over his non-selection for the recently concluded T20I series against New Zealand and demands more power in his hands for which he is set to meet PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

“Rizwan is due to meet the PCB chairman as soon as he gets an opportunity to seek clarity on his axing from the T20I side. Rizwan will seek more power in the selection of the playing eleven for the match, and there is a possibility that if not given full power, then he might resign from ODI captaincy,” the source said.

Mohammad Rizwan In Conflict With Pakistan Coach Aaqib Javed

Notably, Pakistan made several changes to their T20I set-up recently as they left out the stars like Rizwan and Babar Azam from the T20I set-up. Meanwhile, Rizwan returned to the ODI set-up, but had an argument with head coach Aaqib Javed over playing XI.

The report mentioned that Rizwan wanted to go ahead with five regular bowlers, but Aaqib Javed disagreed and forced the playing XI to include just four regular bowlers, which eventually the decision backfired.

Meanwhile, a decision on the same is expected in a few days after Rizwan meet PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
