Controversy Around MS Dhoni! CSK Fans Slam IPL Officials Over Potential No-Ball vs PBKS

In the recently concluded match between CSK and PBKS at the Mullanpur Stadium, the hosts registered a 18-run win to hand CSK their fourth consecutive defeat in the tournament. 

PBKS, batting first, put 219 runs on the board. In reply, CSK came close but fell short of 18 runs in the end. MS Dhoni, as usual, hogged the internet after he played a brilliant cameo to help CSK get closer to the run-chase.

No-Ball Controversy Hits IPL CSK vs PBKS Match

Notably, MSD scored a brilliant 27 (12), which featured four and three sixes. Further, Thala took revenge against Lockie Ferguson and whacked the New Zealand seamer for a couple of sixes in the 19th over.

However, a controversy erupted on the last ball of the 19th over when Ferguson bowled a high full-toss and it went for six. The umpire had signalled it a six, but PBKS opted for a review and the replay showed that it was a fair delivery. 

IPL use a Hawkeye system where they track the height of the delivery, and it shows that it is a fair delivery. However, the decision didn't go well with MS Dhoni fans and there were conspiracy claims doing rounds on the social media comment section. 

The replay showed that the ball was 0.98 m above the ground, while MS Dhoni's waist is 1.01 m high. However, the technology didn't stop the controversy. Here are some of the reactions.

Talking about the two teams, then PBKS have now three wins in four matches, while CSK have just a solitary win in five matches.
