Lucknow Super Giants Announce Nicholas Pooran As Vice Captain Ahead Of The IPL 2024

As the stage is all set for yet another amazing season of the Indian Premier League, KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants have announced the former West Indies captain, Nicholas Pooran as the vice-captain ahead of the IPL 2024. 

Recently, KL Rahul who was a part of the Indian team for the Test series against England, has been ruled out of the last test being injured. Now that Lucknow has named Pooran as the vice-captain, there's a possibility that Nicholas Pooran might be seen leading the team for the first few matches if KL Rahul doesn't get fit. 

KL Rahul has been in and out of the team because of injuries and he injured himself again after the first Test. He has been out of the team since then and was supposed to make a comeback in the fifth Test, but reportedly he went to London for a consultation on his injury. 

Meanwhile, LSG has announced Nicky P as the vice-captain of the team, where KL Rahul can be seen presenting the LSG jersey with the tag of 'VC'.

Lucknow Super Giants will be entering their third IPL season and they have managed to make it to the playoffs in their first two seasons. When KL Rahul got injured during the last season, the all-rounder Krunal Pandya led the team in his absence. 

With this announcement, it is sure that if KL Rahul doesn't play then Nicholas Pooran will be leading the Lucknow Super Giants in the upcoming season of the IPL.
