Dhruv Jurel, the emerging Indian wicket-keeper batter, has unveiled the secrets to his success in Test cricket, while shedding light on his recent performances in the ongoing five-match series against England.

Dhruv Jurel, the son of a Kargil war veteran, stated that he is a devoted follower of Lord Hanuman, and always plays the Hanuman Chalisa in the morning on repeat as it provides him with energy and keeps him positive throughout the day.

“I'm a big devotee of Bajrangbali ji. I play Shree Hanuman Chalisa on loop every morning," Dhruv Jurel said.

Jurel top-scored in India's first innings with 90 runs before playing a crucial knock of 39 not out to help India chase down 192 at the JSCA stadium. The 23-year-old was adjudged Player of the Match for his batting exploits.

Jurel's first game was seriously impressive, he stepped up in Rajkot and straight-up showed what he's made of. With India's batting struggling big time, Jurel's composed knock of 46 runs in his first turn at bat was just a taste of what he's capable of.
