England are considered as one of the foremost sides in the longest format of the game. And now that they have invented their own way of playing red-ball cricket, they are turning out to be more furious than before. The current head coach of the Indian team, Rahul Dravid was also known as the Wall in the world of cricket, was nothing short of an immaculate force to the Indian batting during his playing days. He was known to get stuck in the middle and also had a solid defence even against the best of bowlers in the world.

With over 13,000 Test runs under his name, Dravid was among the foremost batters of the Indian team alongside Sachin Tendulkar. In his 164-match long Test career, the right-hander hammered 36 centuries along with 63 half-centuries and made a name for himself in the history of Indian cricket. 

During the year 2002, India visited England for a four-match Test series, where India managed to draw the series despite being a visiting nation. Rahul Dravid went on to play a critical role in the series and recorded 602 runs in just six innings with the help of three centuries including a double century.

Having scored over 8,000 Test runs in his career so far, Virat has been a phenomenal asset for the Indian team over the last decade. 

If there is a year in Virat's career where he was just unstoppable, it was 2016. In that particular year, the right-hander was playing like a beast and churned out a truckload of runs. During the same year, England visited India for five match long Test series and Virat Kohli became the highest scorer of the series. 

The run-machine went on to amass 655 runs in just eight innings including the highest score of 235 not out. With the help of two centuries and two half-centuries, he carried an average of over 100 throughout the series and was also named a player of the series.

The young sensation Yashasvi Jaiswal has become a key player for India's Test team and has also ended the search for an opener with an amazing display of character at the top. With just 8 Tests under his belt, he has already hammered two double hundreds and both of them have come against England in the ongoing five-match Test series. 

With 971 runs in just eight Tests, Jaiswal is turning out to be a generational find for the Indian team. He has already smashed three centuries and three half-centuries and has also become the Indian player to smash the most number of sixes in the longest format of the game in a single year. 

Jaiswal after his eighth inning of the series has already notched up 655 runs with a blistering average of over 100. He also becomes one of the youngest players to smash double centuries in Test cricket with his knocks of 209 runs in the second Test and 214-run unbeaten knock in the third Test. His 73-run knock in the first innings of the fourth Test places him at the top among the three, given he is just one run away from breaking Kohli's record with a match to go.
