Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) completed an 80-run routing of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in match 15 of the IPL 2025 season at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Batting first, KKR’s middle-order batter Angkrish Raghuvanshi smeared a 32-ball half-century to negate early strikes from SRH’s premier pacemen Pat Cummins and Mohammed Shami. Venkatesh Iyer bludgeoned 60 runs off just 29 balls and shared a scintillating 41-ball 91-run partnership with Rinku Singh as KKR mounted 200-6 from 20 overs.
In response, SRH folded up for just 120 in 16.4 overs, with Heinrich Klaasen top-scoring in the chase by listing 33 off 21 balls. For KKR, Vaibhav Arora dismissed Travis Head and Ishan Kishan with the new ball before finishing with figures of 3-29. Spinner Varun Chakravarthy also picked up three wickets while Andre Russell chipped in with two scalps.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi Named ACC President
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was named the President of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The Pakistani cricketing administrator filled in the vacant position after previous president Jay Shah stepped down to become ICC Chairman. Naqvi expressed his excitement upon being entrusted with the major administrative role, and admitted that he is keen to work with the members of the council to ensure the betterment of the game in the cricket-crazy continent.
Luke Wood To Join Peshawar Zalmi For PSL 2025
England fast bowler Luke Wood has been re-acquired by the Peshawar Zalmi franchise for the upcoming PSL 2025 season. The speedster is expected to join the Babar Azam-led team in the coming weeks. Wood also played for the Peshawar Zalmi back in PSL 2024 last year, picking up 12 wickets in the season in 11 innings at a relatively expensive bowling average of 29.08.
The cricketer holds an overall experience of 165 T20 matches, having picked up 165 wickets at 27.10.
Brook Likely To Lead ENG In T20Is, Stokes Favourite For ODIs: Report
Harry Brook is expected to lead the English cricket team in T20Is going forward. As reported by The Telegraph, the cricketer will likely be taking over the national responsibility in the game’s truncated format, while Test skipper Ben Stokes is currently in line to lead England’s ODI setup.

Jamaica To Host AUS In D/N Test
The Australian team is set to play its first-ever overseas Day-Night Test through their upcoming tour of West Indies later this year. As per the latest development, the Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica will host the red-ball affair in July. The match will also mark the third Test of the three-match series between the two sides.
Australia is set to tour West Indies to play a series of three Tests and five T20I matches between June and July.
