'Hardik Pandya Kya Chaand Se Utar Ke Aaya Hai? BCCI Should Threaten Him'-Praveen Kumar

Praveen Kumar, the former Indian swing bowler, didn't hold back in his criticism of Hardik Pandya's decision to prioritize the IPL over his domestic responsibilities.

Praveen Kumar voiced his dissatisfaction with the BCCI's perceived double standard regarding player prioritization. 

While the board emphasized the importance of domestic tournaments and the Ranji Trophy over the IPL, Kumar highlighted the leniency shown towards Hardik Pandya in contrast to the disciplinary action taken against players like Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer.

Hardik made a comeback after long ankle injury lay off and played DY Patil tournament. Hardik didn't play SMAT or Vijay Hazare tournament. BCCI gave Hardik special consideration as his body can't contain the rigours of playing all three formats. 

Praveen Kumar was not happy about this as he was talking to Subhankar Mishra's YouTube channel.

"Hardik Pandya kya chaand se utar ke aaya hai? (Has Hardik Pandya came from the moon? He has to play too. Why are there different rules for him? The BCCI should threaten him. Why would you play just the domestic T20 tournament? Play all three formats. Or have you played 60-70 Test matches that you will just play T20. The country needs you," Praveen Kumar said on Shubhankar Mishra's YouTube channel.

Praveen Kumar's scrutiny extended beyond Hardik Pandya's IPL commitments to his absence from Test cricket. 

With Pandya missing out on selection for the Test Championship final against Australia and his prolonged absence from the longer format, Kumar raised questions about Pandya's commitment to Test cricket. 

He called for clarity from both Pandya and the BCCI regarding the future of this issue, emphasizing the need for accountability from all parties involved.
