Inspired Effort From Trumpelmann Steers Namibia To 'Historic Record' Vs Oman

Namibia faced Oman in match 3  in the group B clash of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup on June 2 at The Kensington Oval, Barbados and went on to create history as they dismissed six out of the ten Oman batters through the Leg Before Wicket (LBW).

Namibia achieves historic T20 landmark

Led by Ruben Trumpelmann, during the Oman and Namibia encounter, the Namibian bowlers achieved a rare feat as they became the first side in men's T20 international cricket to get rid of 6 batters in an innings in the form of an LBW.

Trumpelmann who ended up with the figures of 4/20 in his four overs, started the match with two back-to-back LBWs, scalping opener Kashyap Prajapati and captain Aqib Ilyas on golden ducks with two fantastic deliveries from over the wicket. He later also trapped Khaleemullah in front of the wickets in the 19th over.

The other three batters to go down in the same fashion were Zeeshan Maqsood off Bernard Scholtz, Mohammad Nadeem off captain Gerhard Erasmus and Mehran Khan off veteran David Wiese.Oman ended their innings, getting bowled out at 109 in 19.4 overs while Khalid Kail top scoring with 34(39). 

Namibia, in the run chase also lost their opener, Michael van Lingen on the first ball of the innings and ended the powerplay with 32/1 on the board with still 74 runs to win in 14 overs.
