Pakistan's white-ball captain, Babar Azam spoke about the missed opportunity against India in Melbourne where India miraculously snatched the game out of Pakistan's hand thanks to a masterclass from Virat Kohli.

In the latest podcast released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Babar opened up about how they had the match in their hands and should have won it given the position they were in and how it was taken away from Kohli and Co.

"For me, in 2022 [World Cup], we could and should have won the India game, but they took it away," Babar said.

Pakistan won their previous clash in the 2021 edition in Dubai International Stadium and was looking in the pole position yet again at the MCG with India 31/4 after 6.1 overs before Kohli and Hardik Pandya added 113 runs for the fifth wicket.

Kohli then took on Shaheen Afridi followed by Haris Rauf when India needed 48 off 3 overs and 28 off 8 balls, meanwhile, scoring that famous six over Rauf's head at 18.5.

Ravichandran Ashwin calmly took India home against Nawaz on the final ball and thrashed Pakistan's hope of making it 2 in 2 against India in T20 World Cups.
