On Tuesday, Afghanistan will cross swords against Uganda in the fifth group-stage match of the ongoing T20 World Cup. This will be Afghanistan's maiden appearance in the competition as they aim to make their mark. 

Led by Rashid Khan, Afghanistan have a robust squad comprising plenty of all-rounders. The presence of multi-dimensional players like Gulbadin Naib, Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, and Karim Janat definitely makes them a team to beat in the marquee event.

Afghanistan's probable playing XI vs Uganda

The destructive duo of Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran will open the batting for Afghanistan. While Gurbaz can capitalise on the field restrictions, Zadran's ability to anchor the innings makes him a valuable asset. 

The all-round quartet of Naib, Omarzai, Nabi and Janat solidify Afghanistan's middle order, with Najibullah Zadran likely to play as the other specialist batter. 

While Rashid Khan, Fazalhaq Farooqi, and Naveen-ul-Haq pick themselves up in the playing XI, the real toss-up is between Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Noor Ahmad for the remaining slot. 

Although Noor's capability is unquestionable, Afghanistan might prefer Mujeeb for this game considering his experience and performance over the years.
