The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has unveiled the schedule for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023. India will entirely host the much-awaited quadrennial event across ten different venues in the country.

Bangladesh team will head into the tournament as dark horses for multiple reasons. Not only do they have a well-settled batting line-up, studded with Tamim Iqbal, Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan, but they also have one of the highest win percentages in ODIs since the 2019 World Cup.

The team will launch its 2023 World Cup campaign with a match against Afghanistan on October 7 in Dharamsala. They will also face defending champions England at the same venue a few days later.

The nine Bangladesh fixtures are spread across six venues, with Dharamsala, Kolkata and Pune hosting the team twice each.

In short, Bangladesh will kick off their league-stage campaign on October 7 and conclude it on November 12 with a match against five-time world champions Australia. All fixtures will be broadcasted live on Star Sports Network.
