The eagerly anticipated Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule has been revealed by the International Cricket Council (ICC). The tournament, hosted by India, is set to take place from October 5 to November 19. 

It will feature ten nations competing in 48 matches across 12 cities in India. Each team will play nine round-robin matches, with the top four advancing to the knockout stage. Warm-up matches will be held from September 29 to October 3 before the tournament.


Australia's Itinerary

The ICC unveiled the Men's ODI World Cup 2023 schedule, revealing that Australia will kick off their campaign against India in Chennai on October 8. The tournament, featuring ten teams, will commence on October 5 in Ahmedabad, with England facing New Zealand in the tournament opener.  

India will be hosting the World Cup for the fourth time, having previously co-hosted in 1987, 1996, and 2011. This will be India's first time hosting the tournament independently. In the 2011 edition, India defeated Australia in the quarterfinal on their way to claiming their second 50-over title. 

Australia will play matches at eight different venues throughout the tournament, including Chennai, Lucknow, Bengaluru, Delhi, Dharamsala, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and Pune. They will conclude the league stage on November 12 against Bangladesh in Pune.
