The iconic Lord’s Stadium is set to stage the much-awaited second Ashes Test match. The visiting Australians won the opening contest in a thrilling final hour in Birmingham, thus taking a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

The upcoming match marks a must-win one for hosts England, considering a defeat at Lord’s will put them under immense pressure in the remaining matches.

A couple of days prior to the launch of the Lord’s Test, Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor along with her husband and one-year-old child visited the historic stadium as part of their London trip.

Sonam Kapoor attends Lord’s with family

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and her husband, businessman Anand Ahuja, are currently on a family outing in London. The two, along with their year-old son Vayu Kapoor Ahuja seems to be attending prominent places in the city, including the 209-year-old historic cricket stadium Lord’s.

Anand Ahuja shared pictures of their Lord’s visit and even added a witty caption from son Vayu’s perspective. The caption reads:

“Put me in, coach. I’m ready!”

In the meantime, England and Australia are gearing up to clash in the much-awaited second Ashes Test.

The high-octane series comes off the backdrop of Australia’s WTC triumph and England’s year-long resurgence in Tests, courtesy of their newly adopted ‘BazBall’ philosophy.

The philosophy backfired for once, as they faced a two-wicket defeat in Birmingham to concede an early lead to the visitors.

The second Test match is scheduled to be played between June 28 and July 2, and the series itself launches the 2023-25 WTC cycle for both sides.
