Hurricane 'Beryl' To Washout IND-SA T20 WC 2024 Final? Check Out The Latest Weather From Barbados

India will face South Africa in the T20 World Cup 2024 final on June 29 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. The Men in Blue beat England in the semi-finals to advance to the final for the third time in T20 World Cup history.

As the Men in Blue eye their 2nd T20 World Cup trophy, the focus is also on the weather in Barbados as a hurricane alert has been issued in the Caribbeans ahead of the final.

India's semi-final tie against England also had a delayed start because of consistent rains in Guyana. Talking about Barbados, the island is set to experience its first hurricane of the season as the Forecasters issued a warning for Tropical Storm 'Beryl', which has gained strength and is travelling roughly 975 miles southeast of the island nation.

However, the hurricane is set to arrive on Sunday and not Saturday.  There are also reports that the storm will land in Barbados late on Saturday and the game starts in the early hours on Saturday. Thus, the match won't be hindered because of this upcoming storm.

There will be high winds and even light rains which can result in a start-stop match but the game will go on as planned.

According to Accuweather, the forecast reads, “thunderstorms in spots this evening followed by occasional rain and a thunderstorm late.”

In the worst-case scenario, there is also a reserve day scheduled for the finals. However, Hurricane Beryl will be in full force on Sunday, which looks like a washout on that day as well. In that case, India and South Africa will be announced as joint-winners.
